APFELPARK - PLAY AREA AT RASA

Apple growing has a long tradition on the plateau of Natz-Schabs. The apple is omnipresent and can be experienced in its various stages throughout the year. In spring the apples blossom and dress the region in a white-pink coat, summer brings forth the green-red fruits and in autumn the harvest time begins. The playground at the Moser Wiese in Raas takes up this theme and interprets the apple in all its facets. The smallest components of the apple, the apple cores, characterize the overall appearance of the playground: variously sized 'apple cores' form the basic framework of the apple park, in which the individual playscapes are distributed. A large play tower in the shape of an apple characterizes the apple orchard playground as a landmark: A 5 m high wooden apple, with various ascent options, from ropes over ladders, onto different platforms, opens up a panoramic view in the shape of an apple stem over the landscape at the highest point. Wooden boxes for storing the apples as well as balancing beams offer an interesting climbing landscape even for the smallest ones. A large water playground lets you feel the element of water as an essential part for the growth and life of plants. A water pump, with a natural-looking watercourse and mud area, offers a pleasant way to cool off, especially in summer. A nest swing, toddler swing, willow tepee, teeter-totters, a trampoline, and a climbing log complete the play area. In the shade of apple trees and native woods, wooden decks, benches and boulders offer pleasant places to stay, even for companions. A spacious playground with hill shaping invites to free playing, romping and picnicking.
