When searching for accommodation online on this website, you will sometimes find suns (private landlords and holiday flats) or flowers (farm holidays) next to the name of the accommodation. These illustrate the classification of the accommodation, like the star categories for hotels.

The local tax is a municipal fee. The revenue is used to finance infrastructure, local services or for the organisation of local events. The local tax is levied by the accommodation per guest aged 14 and over and per overnight stay. The amount depends on the category of the accommodation.

In Natz-Schabs there are numerous excursion destinations and paths that are also suitable for people with disabilities, senior citizens or parents with pushchairs. In addition to many accommodations and restaurants, most sights and cultural facilities in South Tyrol are also barrier-free.

The Natz-Schabs Card is our guest card with many advantages. From just one overnight stay, you will receive the Natz-Schabs Card from participating accommodation providers. With this guest card you can use all public transport in South Tyrol free of charge, you receive free admission to around 80 South Tyrolean museums and many other discounts. The apple blossom usually takes place between the end of March and the end of April. The exact time depends on the current temperatures and weather conditions.

The Törggelen season in Natz-Schabs begins around the beginning of October and lasts until around mid-November. Find out more about the traditional Törggelen here.

Transporting dogs on buses and trains
On public transport, dogs must be kept on a lead, wear a muzzle and may not occupy a seat. A ticket must be purchased for the dog. The Natz-Schabs Card is not valid for the dog. If you regularly use public transport with your dog, you can buy the Mobilcard Junior for 7 days. Guide dogs and small animals that are held in your arms or transported in a crate are transported free of charge.

Dogs are allowed on cable cars. They must wear a muzzle and be kept on a lead.

Hiking and walking the dog
Please keep your dog on a lead when hiking in the countryside and on the Alpine pastures. Please collect your dog's small droppings: The poo poses hygienic and health risks, especially in the apple orchards. Thank you for your understanding.

It is possible to take bicycles on regional trains if there is sufficient space in the compartments provided for this purpose. In the event of overcrowding, railway staff may prohibit the carriage of bicycles. There is no guarantee that all passengers - even those with a valid ticket - will be able to board with their bike.

Day ticket for taking bicycles on the train
The day ticket for taking bicycles on the train costs 7 euros. The ticket is available from ticket machines or at südtirolmobil sales points. It can be used indefinitely on the day it is first validated and must be validated at the start of each journey.

bikemobil Card South Tyrol
The bikemobil Card combines a ticket for all public transport in South Tyrol and the hire of a bike from the participating hire points (Südtirol Rad, Papin Sport, Südtirolbike). The bike can be returned to any of the hire centres. Please note: The bikemobil Card does not entitle you to take your bike on buses and trains.

It is only possible to take bicycles on regional buses in individual cases. There is no storage space available on most buses. On some routes to popular excursion destinations in South Tyrol, some buses are equipped with bicycle racks. These journeys are marked with an "A" in the timetables. The stops where bicycles can be loaded onto the bus are marked with a bike symbol. The transport of e-bikes is not possible.

Bikes can be taken on most cable cars. There is a separate ticket for mountain bikers on the Plose who use the trails in the Brixen Bikepark several times a day.
